Daniel Sowelu (B.Sc, Dip.Ed) is a therapeutic and experiential astrologer, primal therapist, counsellor and group leader, professional trainer and sacred tour leader in his 40th year of practice. A classic wounded healer, he is a pioneer in combining astrology, therapy and spiritual life and a global leader in the training of experiential astrology through his Australian Institute of Primal Astrology. Experiential Astrology: Reclaiming Astrology’s Healing Magic

At some point in our personal and professional evolution, we need to be able to suspend what we think we know about any part of the birth chart, in order to drop into a deeper embodied, emotionally connected and spiritually awake relationship with its archetypes. Astrologers with this level of inner connection have a far greater healing impact on their clients, even when doing readings, as more Shakti, or sacred power, travels with their words.

Experiential astrology is a broad term for practices that allow us, or our clients, to go into these deeper layers of awareness, wisdom, healing potency and transformative power, relying on the ancient power of astrology’s symbols and within the sacred space created by the Zodiac wheel. While this re-emergence of what is an ancient practice has expressed itself with the aid of such great practices as visualisations, voice dialogue and Astro-drama, there is a deeper reservoir of healing power embedded organically within the astrology wheel.

Daniel will speak to this re-emergence briefly before inviting everybody present to an optional group experience of this work using a relatively simple process involving the revolutionary Uranus and the healing goddess Hygeia. In the second half of the double session, he will invite volunteers from the audience to demonstrate how to work with any of the archetypes in the birth chart.
