Remembering Parampara
Parampara, one of Sydney’s leading lights of Astrology, died Friday September 23, 2005 at 2pm in Coffs Harbour. Parampara passed away after being diagnosed with lung cancer at the end of April. Parampara has taught Astrology for many years through her school Astro Varsity in Bellevue Hill and through Nature Care College. One of Parampara’s favourite tools with her Astrology was the use of Circle Work. Her experiential approach really deepened one’s experience, as a client and student, of planetary and sign energies.
Classes started with music and meditation representative of each sign’s energy and then were accompanied by a collage of images that reflected the energy you would be working with. Readings with Parampara often finished with a dip into your chart, which would be placed visually on the floor throughout the session.
Parampara was a Sanyasin and her spiritual presence added depth and compassion to her Astrological work. Parampara will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of studying with her. From all at the AANSW we send our condolences to her family and friends, she’ll be missed but not forgotten.
