• Applications to sit this exam should be received no later than the date given on the timetable page: https://www.faainc.org.au/faa-exam-timetable/ - No late applications will be accepted
• All candidates must be current financial member of the FAA.
• Submission of this form and payment of the Exam fee acknowledges that you have read and will abide by the terms and conditions set out in the FAA Exam Booklet. This Booklet can be obtained free from the FAA web-site (http://www.faainc.org.au/faa-exam-system/) or in hard copy from the Coordinator at a cost of $25.00.
• The cost of the exam is $245.00 ($165 for concession card holders), payable upon application.
• Completed Exam papers must be returned by email exams@faainc.org.au, dated no later than the specific exam completion date given on the timetable page - https://www.faainc.org.au/faa-exam-timetable/
• It may take up to six weeks after emailing your completed exam papers to the Coordinator to receive your results. Please make contact with the Coordinator if results have not been received after that time.
• Your name must NOT appear on any of the papers that are submitted. You will be issued with a Candidate Number by the Coordinator prior to the Examination commencing. This number is to be noted on every page of the examination papers submitted to ensure the confidentiality of each candidate.
• Essays should be typed, and double line spaced using a 12pt font of Times New Roman (or similar). Each essay must comply with the word limit, a 10% variation is accepted. Not only is the candidate assessed on their astrological knowledge, consideration is given to their ability to write a properly structured, succinct and academic work. Essays that gain a Distinction or High Distinction will be considered for publication (with consent) and be published in the FAA Journal. The word limit applies to the essay’s Introduction, Body and Conclusion. Any title page, charts, tables, bibliography and references are not included in the word limit.
• Essays must be saved using the following format: candidate number followed by question number for example: 218402-Question3.
• Essays must be saved in PDF format to ensure all formatting of charts or tables remain intact.
• A result of 60% must be gained for the Interpretation, Dynamic and Relationship and Specialist Techniques Exams and 70% for the Calculation Exam in order to attain an overall Pass mark. The Board of Examiner’s decision with respect to results is final.
• Plagiarism will result in failure. All sources must be acknowledged. All material submitted will become the property of the FAA. However, copyright of all material remains with the author.
• Certificates for successful candidates will be forwarded to the relevant FAA Association or nominated teacher for presentation. Only successful candidate names will be published in the FAA Journal.
• These conditions form part of the Application for this Exam.
• If you change email address during the course of an exam, please notify the Coordinator.
